KANEKA

The name of the music of my country is Kaneka and Kanak artists created it in the 1980's in my region (Canala) . In New Caledonia there are many music bands. I prefer Vamaley, Roumadival, Népicôô, Oriatal, Manda Karèè, Jvdk, Waan, Vhirin, Tébitane, Lkg, Lmfr, Atmanoxk,Nirasta.........When they play music, they express their identity and their culture through their songs .Some singers speak of problems in their society and teenagers .......

In my country there are people who listen to different music styles : Reggae, Zook and Kaneka. Above all I listen to pure Reggae; my favorite Reggae singers are Steel Pulse, Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, Ijahman, Alpha Blondy, Apple Gabriel, Skelly and Wis. For example in my city, we listen to Reggae and Kaneka much. Now the very young listen to RNB for example Chris Brown, Akon... I think that reggae is a very cool and relaxing music style ........
